Here at RCW, we’re a sucker for a great nail polish color. Unfortunately, some of us here, i.e. me, are allergic to the chemicals in these lovely polishes! Enter our client Coccolily, a clothing and accessories line that just so happens to have created a line of nail polish as well. I was excited and somewhat depressed to first get the samples thinking I would never be able to try them for myself. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Coccolily’s nail polishes were free of DBP, DHP and Toulene, in addition to being Vegan Friendly and Pregnancy safe! Still hesitant, I tested them out, and awaited the inevitable reaction of itchy eyes and eczema. But instead I got a lovely glossy finish and no allergic reaction! Finally, I can enjoy painting my nails again, and all thanks to the lovely creator of Coccolily, Naana Tennachie Yankey. Now its time for you to try them for yourself! With such beautiful colors to choose from, you’re bound to find one that suits your likely. And they even come in the cutest packaging to boot.

Best Dressed at the Billboard Awards 2013
Here are a few of our favorite looks from last nights Billboard Music Awards! Zuhair Murad seemed to be a celeb favorite, with Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez and Emmy Rossum all choosing the designer. Another trend we noticed this year was the celebrity makeunder! We were excited to see Nicki Minaj and Kesha looking fairly normal and actually half way decent! Below are our favorite picks.
Emmy Rossum stuns in a Zuhair Murad dress that accentuates her lovely figure.
Just call it the Zuhair Murad blue carpet, as Jennifer Lopez chose this beautiful gold frock by the designer as well.

And last but not least, Kimberly Perry looks breathtaking in Mark Zuzino!
We can’t wait for the next award show and all of the glamour on the carpet!

Klein Epstein & Parker featured at The Wedding Salon
Spring is here and love is in the air! As we gear up for Wedding season, our favorite made to measure menswear store Klein Epstein & Parker aims to transform grooms tuxes from ordinary to extraordinary. With the perfect custom fit, to every fabric and detail you can dream of, KEP is redefining what it means to be a groom in today’s society. They were featured this past Monday during The Wedding Salon at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, offering up all the best in wedding suits and tuxes. The exclusive event was a huge success, and we loved seeing KEP take center stage as the go to for the fashionable groom!

NYC Calling
Structure, minimalistic, organic, edgy. Four words that sum up the aesthetics of New York fashion and lifestyle. During one of my many trips to the “concrete jungle” last week, winter continued to run its course with bare trees and frozen brick streets. Between client meetings and busy work days, most of my free time was spent in Lower Manhattan and Greenwich Village. Time flew by drinking chai lattes with old friends in local coffee shops and shopping in small boutiques such as, In God We Trust and Wendy Nichol. One of my favorite things about New York is its uniqueness. Every clothing store is different, every restaurant is a new ethnicity, and every person is his own. While the general New Yorker mindset remains the same, nothing is of the mainstream. Individuality is embraced more than ever. Same goes for the structure and architect of buildings both big and small, old and new, and styles spanning distinct historical and cultural periods.
Fashion wise, weather was an influential factor to a very Alexander Wang inspired style for many New Yorkers. Being an LA native, I couldn’t help but freeze without black leather gloves worth every dollar purchased in Battery Park. For women, outfits included neutral colors, leggings, matte leather boots and a mid-length coat. For men, outfits included the same neutral colors, dark denim or slacks, and layering sweaters with a coat to top it off. However, this look instantly changes from Uptown to Downtown, day to night, rooftop bars to hotel lounges where dancing lasts till the sun rises and taxi cabs roll in at 5 A.M. Fur coats and floral crowns, structured skirts and strong shoulder blazers; fashion becomes a lifestyle and the lifestyle is limitless. Less than half the size of L.A, Manhattan is larger than life where new people are introduced every day.
While catching a cab back to JFK for a six hour flight home, I’m reminded of what many of us tend to forget, individuality and inspiration; to inspire and be inspired. Driving through the city in the hustle and bustle, it’s hard not to be motivated by your surroundings. Around every corner there is coffee, pretzels or Indian street food being sold to the very busy passer-bys hastily making their way to their next destination. Subways remain busy from all walks of life, full of fashion students, Wall Street business men, and mothers with their children. Taxis overwhelm brick and stone streets while horns and an angry exchange of words fill the air. Concrete pavement is the runway for women and men of all backgrounds every day of the week. From sun up to sun down, the city that never sleeps remains a city of inspiration for actors, models, artists, musicians, educators, businesses, and designers alike. What inspires and motivates you in your daily life? As for me, the answer will forever remain, fashion.

Best Dressed at the 2013 Oscars!
The last hurrah of Award Season has come and gone, but last nights Oscars did not disappoint! Although we’re sad that award season is over, we absolutely LOVED some of the looks we saw on the red carpet last night. Some of the trends we spotted were pale tone dresses and beautiful long trains. And for the guys, it seems it was an all black affair! A black tux with a white shirt and black bow tie was the norm last night, but at least they all looked dashing!
Here are our BEST DRESSED PICKS for the ladies:
From left to right, Charlize Theron, Naomi Watts, and Zoe Saldana.
And now on the dashing men!
From left to right, Eddie Redmayne, Ben Affleck, and Christoph Waltz. They all look very dapper in black!
We’re sad that award season has come to a close, but loved seeing the stars shine on the Red Carpet. So until next year! And by next year we mean the MTV Movie Awards in April. Here in LA there is always an award show around the corner!
