I have not been with RCW Media for long but I recently noticed an amazing and large artwork of mixed media on the wall of our showroom. It resembled a painting but had layers, textures and a feel that you could not attain from just paint on a canvas. As an art student myself, I have worked with all forms media, so I had to find out how this piece was created!
I watched this interview with Darrell Troppy on the Texas County Reporter and was BLOWN away with how much work it took to create a piece like the one in our showroom. It’s amazing what creativity and passion can do mixed with a little bit of beeswax, heat and bright colors.
Troppy’s technique is called Encaustic painting, which allows for a lot of self-expression and experimentation. Personally, experimenting and not knowing what the final outcome will be is my favorite part about making art.
If you are interested in learning more about Darrell Troppy and his artwork, come on down to our showroom to see the piece for yourself! And to discuss other business opportunities feel free to email RCW Media.
