Daniel Troppy recently appeared on Atlanta’s WABE FM 90.1 public radio to talk about his passion, his blog and business. He welcomes Kate Sweeny from WABE with a record he bought for 50c at Goodwill. “Isn’t that incredible?” he exclaimed, “Fifty cents!”
This “Luxury Recycler” reveals his thrifty ways came from his father. Daniel recalls his father always telling the family to save energy and water throughout his childhood. Going Vintage to fashion is like going electric to cars. Not only is vintage in right now, Daniel believes vintage clothing “has history” and “so much life left in them”.
According to the U.S. EPA, America produces 13 million tons of textile waste in 2012 alone! Daniel’s blog and boutique store is that one step closer to a greener and trendier world.
Listen to more here, link: http://pba.org/post/earth-day-recycled-fashion, as Daniel takes Sweeny on a tour of his boutique talking about each piece that is special to him.
RCW is happy to have some of his designer finds in our showroom for our open house this Thursday, May 10. We will continue to keep all fashion, bargain hunters, in the loop of new fashion to vintage pieces that he finds.
How knows…RCW may be planning a trip to Atlanta this summer to visit The Thrifter himself, Mr. Daniel Troppy.
Stay tuned!
And as always….make it a Red Carpet Worthy day!
